HAIKU FOR GOD (A Poem) by Oluwadamilola Rasak

Deliver us God,
That we have touched sins and love
With same hands we reach to you.

[A poem exhibited at The Optimist’s Incomplete Exhibition and also performed at the Heritage Day, as part of the Benue Book and Arts Festival at the DH Lawrence Birthplace Museum, Eastwood, Nottingham on 12 September 2026]

Oluwadamilola Rasak loves poets who write with honesty and simplicity, and she tries to be this herself. Her absolute favourites are Mary Oliver, Rumi, and Khalil Gibran. She takes inspiration from music and coffee shops. She is from Nigeria but presently lives and writes from the UK.
