SEVHAGE AUTHOR, JIDE BADMUS AND EX-BAYELSA GOVERNOR TIMIPRE SYLVA BILLED FOR AWF READING IN ABUJA

Premier literary platform, the Abuja Writers’ Forum is set to host SEVHAGE author, Jide Badmus, Winnie Edmund Kanu and Ex-Bayelsa State Governor, Timpre Sylva on October 27th, 2018 at the Nanet Suites, Central Area, Abuja by 4pm. The event, which is the AWF Guest Writer Session [GWS] is one of Nigeria’s most consistent literary programmes.

scripture with authorJide will be reading from his book, Scripture, which was published by SEVHAGE in July this year while Winnie will be reading from her novella, Untainted, published earlier this year. Former Governor Timipre Sylva, who studied English Language and Linguistics at the University of Port Harcourt for his first degree, will debut a new segment of the GWS called the ‘Take Five’ which features high profile personalities from various walks of life who would talk of five books that have impacted their lives.

Jide Badmus is an electrical engineer and poet, who lives in Lagos. He was featured on EGC’s Top 50 Contemporary Poets who rocked Nigeria in 2017. In addition to Scripture, he is also the author of There is a Storm in m Head (February 2017). Winnie Edmund Kanu is a Certified Document Control Specialist and has a professional Certificate on Quality Management and Internal Audit. She has a diploma in Law from the Delta State University and a B.A in English from the Lagos State University. She is currently the Programmes Coordinator and Administrative Head on (Human City Media Advocacy Initiative)- a Project sponsored by International Organizations in Rivers State, Nigeria.

The Abuja Writers’ Forum ‘Guest Writer Session’ takes place every last Saturday of the month at Nanet Suites from 4pm to 7pm. It is open to the general public and features sessions with readings from guest authors; music; questions and answers with the authors; and a raffle draw for fantastic prizes.
